SIGNATURE EVENTS

Fourth of July Fireworks
July 4, 2024
Approximate Attendance: 2,000+

A popular summer tradition, the residents of North Adams enjoy a spectacular 30-minute fireworks display against the majesty of the Hoosiac Range after a Steeple Cats baseball game to celebrate Independence Day.

Motorama
August 24, 2025
Approximate Attendance: 1,500+

Last year Motorama attracted 400 vehicle entrants (its largest event) throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic to the delight of motor enthusiasts. It has safely established itself as one of THE must-attend car shows in the Northeast! Folks attend from Massachusetts to Virginia to California.

Fall Foliage Parade
October 3, 2025
Approximate Attendance: 2,000+

One of the most treasured events in the Berkshires returns for its 69th year with floats, bands and more!

LumiNAMA Holiday Light Festival
November 26, 2025 - January 2, 2026
Approximate Attendance: 7,000+

Now in its 4th year, LumiNAMA supports the creation of 80+ holiday windows, provides cash stipends to local community groups and artists to decorate unoccupied storefronts, funds and builds 6 major light installation displays, drawing thousands to downtown North Adams over a 7-week period. It kicks off with the City’s tree lighting and wraps up with the Ball Drop ringing in the New Year!

COMMUNITY EVENTS

WinterFest
February 15, 2025
Approximate Attendance: 250+

WinterFest is about bringing the community together during the cold months. Downtown hosts an artisan craft fair, chowder cook-off from local restaurants, horse-drawn wagon rides, a bonfire with s’mores, and much more!

First Fridays
First Friday of Each Month
Approximate Attendance: 100+/monthly

On the First Friday of each month, downtown galleries host opening receptions, food trucks offer up tasty treats and local businesses offer activities based on the monthly theme.

Windsor Lake Concerts
Every Wednesday (June-August)
Approximate Attendance: 100+/concert

Every Wednesday from the beginning of June to the end of August all are welcome to join the City for a free concert with a variety of bands throughout the series.

PRIDE Celebration
June 20, 2025
Approximate Attendance: 750+

North Adams PRIDE hosted its first event in 2021 to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community through the Northern Berkshires and quickly grew into one of the major events of the summer over the past couple of years.

Eagle Street Beach Party
July 19, 2025
Approximate Attendance: 500+

250,000 tons of sand is spread along Eagle Street donated by Specialty Minerals to create a temporary beach in downtown North Adams. Non-profits line the sidewalks handing out sand buckets and shovels along with other fun items.

Downtown Celebration
August 13, 2025
Approximate Attendance: 500+

Last year 85 vendors and 4 food trucks lined Main Street. Activites included making balloon art with the Balloon Lady, watching the Berkshire County Line Dancers, or listening to several bands staged throughout downtown.
