A plan to move forward on a new $65 million PreK through second-grade school was approved by residents in the fall of 2024 and is currently in the design phase of development.

Drury High School is one of two high schools in Massachusetts designated as an “Early College High School”. Starting in 2027 all students will have the opportunity to earn a minimum of 30 college credits at MCLA.

McCann’s cooperative education program allows students to earn money for college and to apply their technical skill in the corporate environment while working in their technical areas during high school.

There are two elementary schools in North Adams, Brayton Elementary (PreK-2) and Colegrove Park Elementary (3-6).

North Adams is home to MCLA, a college within the Massachusetts University system. MCLA recently launched a new nursing program and will begin construction on a new $10 million art center in 2025.
