A light installation that's graced the Esplanade and Greenway in Boston the last couple years will spend the spring and summer, in North Adams! 

Join the opening reception at the Eagle Street Pocket Park as part of the First Friday festivities!

Created by local artist Vanessa Hooper of HHH Studio, the "Hatchlings," nine lighted half shells, will be placed at six sites around the downtown. 

The studio has offices in Greylock Works, where the Hatchlings were built. The half shells are a metal framework woven with strands of LED lights that can be programmed. Two are solar-powered, some are hybrid and others require electricity.
